Come hungry. Every plate we serve puts gear on a volunteer and equipment on a truck.

Our Signature Event 🥞

Pancake & Sausage Breakfast

Claypool Fire Station · Free-will donation

Pancakes, sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy, and coffee that will put hair on your chest — all cooked by the crew. Eat in or carry out. Come early; we've been known to run out.

It's our biggest fundraiser of the year, and it's the most fun we have with our boots off.

When Is the Next One?

We announce breakfast dates on Facebook as soon as they're set — along with weather closures, road incidents, and anything else the community needs to know. It's the fastest and most reliable way to hear from us.

Give the page a follow and the date will show up in your feed. No account? The page is public — you can read it without signing in.

Not on Facebook? Call Chief Hurley at (574) 527-0743 or send us a message and we'll let you know when the next breakfast is scheduled.

Beyond Showing Up

Ways to Help With a Fundraiser

You don't have to be a firefighter to be part of these. Some of our most valuable help comes from people who've never worn turnout gear.

Donate a Raffle Prize

Businesses and individuals can donate an item, a gift certificate, or a service for our raffles. We'll recognize you at the event and on our signage.

Sponsor an Event

Cover the cost of food or supplies for a fundraiser and every dollar taken in goes straight to the department. Sponsors get named at the event.

Work a Shift

Serving, setup, cleanup, running the cash box, or flipping pancakes. A couple of hours from you frees up a firefighter for something else.

Spread the Word

Share our posts, hang a flyer at your business, or just tell your neighbors. Attendance is the whole ballgame at a small-town fundraiser.

Why It Matters

A Pancake Breakfast Buys Real Equipment

It can feel a little quaint — firefighters selling breakfast to buy fire trucks. But that's genuinely how it works out here. Public funding covers part of what a modern fire and rescue department costs. Fundraisers and donations cover the rest.

When you buy a plate, you're not making a symbolic gesture. You're buying a section of hose, part of an air pack, or an hour of a volunteer's certification training.

Community Requests

Want Us at Your Event?

We're glad to bring a truck out for parades, school visits, church festivals, and community days when we have the crew available. We can also do fire extinguisher demonstrations and fire safety talks for classrooms, scout troops, and workplaces.

Please give us as much notice as you can — and understand that if the tones drop, we leave. That's the deal, and everybody in Claypool understands it.
